Milloy
Biography
Currently serving as the artistic director of the MenAlive, the Orange County Gay Men’s Chorus, Steve Milloy (b. 1965) has dedicated over three decades to coaching and directing singers in schools, churches, theaters, and concert stages across the United States. Today, he is a highly sought-after conductor, clinician, composer, and arranger, both in the US and internationally.
In collaboration with Dr. Charles Beale, Steve co-authored the Popular Voiceworks series for Oxford University Press. His original choral work, Bayard Rustin: The Man Behind the Dream, premiered in January of 2017 and has since been performed by several choruses across the United States. Steve received a BA in Music from Miami University and an MM in Conducting from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. He is a member of ASCAP and serves on the board of GALA Choruses.
